International student applying for a VISA
Requirements and procedures for the 2024/2025 academic year
In order to matriculate, International students requesting visas for bachelor / master degrees or for individual courses must pre-register at the university before proceeding with matriculation.
Using the UNIVERSITALY portal, they must fill in the “pre-registration” form online.
With regards to bachelor/master’s degrees the application must be made before 22nd July 2024. This is exclusively for the courses where there are a number of places reserved for non-EU international students.
With regards to individual courses the application must be made before 20th November 2024.
Regardless of whether you have received a positive reply to the “pre-registration” or not, you will have to register on the University’s online Secretariat and present, without making the relative payment, an application for admission to the chosen degree course, or to the individual course.
Following the “pre-registration” you will be called to take an Italian language exam. This exam consists of an oral exam talking about why you have chosen to apply to study at the University and will take place online using the MS TEAMS platform.
You will be exonerated from the Italian language exam if you have the prerequisites called for in the ministerial notice that sets the rules for entry, residency and enrolment of international students and the respective recognition of qualifications for higher education courses in Italy for the academic year 2024/2025.
Following the exam, you will receive the result by email and if you have passed (or been exonerated) and you have the pre-requisites, the University will approve your application on the Universitaly portal.
a) Matriculation
Once this application has been approved and you have your study visa you should make the payment for the admission application, and you will have to take an admission exam (if required) for the course you have chosen.
To complete matriculation once your admission has been approved by Decree, and if you are well placed in the rankings, you should apply for matriculation online and then make the first payment by the deadline in the Call for Admission of your university fees for the 2024/2025 academic year.
b) Matriculation of a single course
Once the Director of the faculty has approved your request of admission you should make the correct payment to complete the matriculation process.
