After my master degree in literature and languages at the Università degli Studi in Milan, where I specialized in English, Spanish and Portuguese, an unforgettable Erasmus year in Lisbon and several experiences of study and work in the UK, I’ve been teaching and learning English for more than 2 decades in the Valle d’Aosta, North Western Italy, the tiniest Italian region at the French and Swiss border with its peculiar bilingualism. Visiting professor of English, English for Business and English for International Communication at the UNIVERSITÉ DE LA VALLÉE D’AOSTE since 2013 and teacher of English at the high school for more than 20 years, I’ve been investigating languages and didactics in intercultural and multilingual contexts opening up to cross cultural communication. Lately focusing my teaching and learning process on surveillance capitalism, behaviour manipulation in the digital age, with a renewed interest in outdoor sustainable education as a response to online distance learning and teen alienation in the post-covid era.
